This book got me into a great mindset! It also helped alleviate fears, setbacks, and negativity that I've had regarding living the lifestyle that this book describes. I highlighted a few passages, and will look back on them regularly! I also enjoyed Ms. Mgboli's writing style, and her eloquence but simplicity in getting points across.I do wish the book went more in-depth. Key points (attract, seduce, etc) were stated as being important, but then the next key point was discussed. For me, this book was more about how to get into the mindset of a courtesan and to prepare yourself for dating at this level.
Even if what you desire isn't wealth, this book impressed upon women the importance of putting ourselves first - of being selfish so that we might fill our own cups so that they overflow to fill others'. This book I put on par with Napoleon Hill's iconic Think And Grow Rich. But it is geared towards women, it is much shorter, and much easier to understand.It is, in my opinion, essential reading for all women. When we treat ourselves and our dreams with respect and love, those things come back to us tenfold in the form of blessings.
Ms. Mgboli does a superb job of capsulizing all the info out there on understanding and utilizing Feminine Energy (aka/ Power, Essence, whatever one chooses to call it).Make no mistake: Although she focuses on 4 courtesans in relatively modern human existence, these naturally-occurring behaviors of said human existence have effected/shaped reality since the first two humans (a man and a very different, but complementary, woman) interacted/transacted.Internalized and allowed to, this is a definite life-changer for the brave and fed up - ready to stop accepting their own excuses and finally live the life they were created to - forever.It’s so good, I recommended this book after barely getting to Chapter 2 (which took enormous self-discipline, as she had me at the Introduction’s first two paragraphs). However, I finished the book (in one sitting) and am so impressed - I am writing a rare review (and at 4AM, no less, ha!)
This book is excellent to improve how you see yourself as an individual and how you see yourself as a woman within a society.
I enjoyed reading this book. The information was rare and valuable. I was not aware of these women and they definitely were not among our history books in grade school.
A great book, that is well-written and extremely insightful.
This book is everything! This spoke to me on so many levels along my personal journey of reinventing myself and leveling UP! I will be re-reading this several times! I highly recommend!
Finally a book that answers questions that most of us are afraid to ask. Well written with loads of practical info. I plan to put this into practice ASAP and hopefully see results as I can see now from reading this I've been going about things the wrong way. Thank you Celeste!
